The sun broke out across the world for a hint of summer as our members took to the otherside to experience real life, but that didn’t stop Hyozan from racking up another week full of achievements.

• First up Tamtu, having hit 75 warrior in the last update, he has gone on the start meriting Great Axe skill and finally capping the skill itself! (booo to level sync parties.) Also on the side Tamtu has been leveling Red Mage and obtained level 44! The world now has another refresher.
• Danniella has also been on the experience point train as well taking up Ranger to level 44 and finally decided to follow the MKE storyline getting up to the Mithra fight.
• Chiibi continued down the path to warrior 75, hitting level 68 and taking Samurai sub to level 42.
• Sigwald took his life savings to the Auction House and purchased a Hagun and also hit floor 50 in Nyzul Isle.
• Our resident Synergist Anyia delved deep into dynamis and came back out with the Blue Mage and Scholar relic legs while also hitting Scholar 72!
• Scuro has been fighting in the name of Naja hitting Superior Private and securing a Coffinmaker from the Royal Ramble Court.
• The Foodlemaster has been DRKing it up capping out his skills and working towards that 75 Taru DD.
• Vorzheva has been grinding the experience points hitting 32 on Samurai and 59 on Dragoon while collecting the purple armor.
• Artyom took to the merit parties on his ranger hitting level 72 and breaking his chain record by reaching chain 60.
• And finally Ghostofonyx FINALLLY got Lamina’s drop going 1/46 on the Kusha’s Ring finishing his TP ring set.

So I missed a week! I’m getting better at it. See? SEE? I’m updating now!… Okay, you want my excuse? Been working on the new website for He Says, She Says, so if you used to listen to the show, I’m happy to announce that I’ll be starting up the show again this summer with a slew of (guest) hosts

Not much on my end, other than beating Maat on Warrior after dinging 75! Been having a LOT of fun with Warrior and hopefully, I get to play it tonight against Kirin with CKR When I engaged, the geezer didn’t last 20 seconds D: 1/1 on Maat WAR! Lastly, climbed upfrom floor 40 to floor 59 in Nyzul! So close! Much thanks to Thraxx and Zetsugan who joined the  static group. We gotta catch up Belladiel this week

Let’s see who’s been good.

• Chiibi’s zerging her Warrior towards 75 quit nicely! Warrior 64, and working on her SAM sub now! She’ll be 75 by the next TWIH!
• Scuro’s hard at work on his subs as well; RDM at 47, and in preparation of his new project, he managed to snag the O. Kote’s 1/1 off Mee Deggi! Good job, Galka!
• Raven’s ranking up again and reclaimed his Starlight Medal in campaign and obtained his Scout’s Socks!
• Along the lines of Campaign, Anyia reached the highest rank and is now proudly wearing the Medal of Altana and picking up SCH again up to 65!
• Daniella hit 75 on Corsair in the same party as I did! It’s been a lovely experience She’s also tackled the Fiat Lux BC and obtained the Hecate’s Cape (2mil!) and managed to get Kirin’s Osode in Sky!
• More 75s: Garin and Viceroy managed to hit the top level on Samurai! Watch out Vana’diel, more Gekkos on the way!
• Zanolio is working hard on his subs for SAM and SMN, getting THF and WHM well into their 30s now!
• We also welcome back Nanfoodle! Foodlemeister is BACK and continuing his DRK antics with Hyozan! We missed you, buddy!
• Talym hit Rank 10 in Bastok!
• Before flying of to Japan, Fryce hit DRK65!
• Khair’s been DRKin it up as well, and also got his Shura Togi (not uncursed yet. Start farming!!)
• Vorzheva grinding his Dragoon as well, hitting 55! Time to get that SAM sub up too, buddy!
• Aricka snuck into a random Dynamis run and scored Commodore’s Gants to go with her level 72 Corsair!

New member this week: Spoony! I know we pearled more people, so a big welcome to you as well

You’ve been there. Sitting around in LS, asking…”Hey, anyone wanna do Promyvion for CoP?” or asking if people want to gather to get things like… a Voyager Sallet, only to be ignored or snuffed off because you don’t seem to have the man power behind it to get it done. Or it’s too inconvenient. We’ve all been there! Rather than trying to plan events via the forum (which we’ve learned doesn’t ever work!), we figured out that we should just list what everyone needs in this game. If anyone happens to stroll around and have mutual goals, THEN they could team up!

Let’s be fair; everyone’s got their own priorities, and being a big international shell like ours, not everyone’s going to be able to help at any given moment. So let’s create some awareness and try and be more pro-active on things!

Example A!

-Person A wants a brutal earring, is at 13/25 Ancient Beastcoins. Puts it in their thread!
-Person B skims thread and sees Person A’s need for ABC’s. They find Person B and give them a coin they had on them! Free or discount, up to them.

Example B!

-Person B needs to camp an NM that can be Duo’d. Lists name.
-Person A is willing to help! Finds B in LS lounging around. Joins. Kills. Wins.

So the general idea is to approach people and see if they’re available to do what you want to help them with, or see how far everyone is in certain missions, or even find crafters for your needs.

The Updates!

Man, has there been a lot going on in Hyozan. While we’ve unfortunately watch some people leave, we’ve thankfully gained a large number of new friends first and foremost; Let’s welcome Aniero and Valyria (Viki) of LBR fame, as well as Homayun (Viki’s awesome significant other), Kingdragon & Mariketa, Einwol, Scuro and his cousins Chairos and Tesiga, Turrek, Zanolio, Artyom, Bolock, Desbresco, Yuzukhi (You’re quiet, but I’ve seen you!), Ptolemy (Ciecle)…and I’ll leave it at that for now. So many people new to our family I’ll have to get a big member list together again sometime soon.

I also spotted Retsujo again last night! Welcome back to the game; hope you don’t get too bored with it this time, bruddah ;p

Merging a bit of the week 14 accomplishments as well, just FYI!

Myself? Lots of stuff. Aside from marrying Fryce and Chiihiro after hitting PLD 60, I’ve taken Warrior straight from 48-49, to 73 last night. After collecting AF and unlocking Weaponskills (Steel Cyclone is AWESOME), I’m only two levels away from wearing my Byakko’s Haidate from the Sky runs with ChocoboKnightRiders/CKRemastered, and other shiny toys at 75. Much thanks to Kazenokizu’s camping, I managed to get a Joyeuse as well! Scuro’s been taking a bunch of us through Nyzul, so I got my Goliard Clogs from there and am sitting at Floor 30 now. Good times! And… I got my first Dynamis win, from Dynamis-Qufim with FinalDynasty. It was fun jumping into Dynamis again for that one time Awesome group, lots of spiders. And with completing all three Add-ons (ACP, Moogle and Shantotto), I added Rise of the Zilart 16 to that list as well!

Now…On to our Hyomies!

• Picking Siggy first, since we both have a major accomplishment together: CHAINS of PROMATHIA complete! We now both have shiny Rajas Rings! He also got his Samurai upto 72 (trend coming up. Watch it.)
• Danniella has been going along on my Warrior train with her Corsair and hit 73 last night! Getting a free Cerberus Mantle and her Abyss Cape from Dynamis as well as Ixion’s Cape, this girl has more capes than she can choose from >.>
• Chiibi is Chiichi’s new character due to some unfortunate circumstances. Chiihiro WILL BE BACK. But in the meantime, she’s plowing through her schedule, unlocking Ninja and taking it to 37 and taking up her new Greataxe-wielding career up to level 40. She has her eyes set on level 65 this week! Let’s see if this Rank 5 Mithra can do it!
• Scuro’s been all over the place, getting his RDM up to 42, gaining more Nyzul floors and sitting at Floor 76 and unlocking Expacion! Getting Denali shoes was a long time goal of his as well, and he’s finally reached it!
• Katsukora’s been soloing as usual, getting Warrior up to 75 and picking up Dancer as his next solo-project
• Vorzheva’s been playing Paladin and getting it up to 32 with some BST20 and PUP26 on the side!
• GhostofGAGA gotten his Valor Cape from Dynamis last night! In the three years he’s been with this group, this was the third cape he’d ever seen drop. I’m telling you; it’s because of my pokemon theme singing.
• Tellahchan’s been running around with his Automaton Zero, getting it up to at least 51! Haven’t seen any updates, but he’s been having fun
• Talym got his Hagun, Floor 40 in Nyzul, DNC to 31 and it seems like he’s slowly creeping up to the DRK side as well as the light with PLD 30! (Check out his Chibis in the forums, btw!!!)
• Anyia’s been catching up on her BLU spells and I believe she’s collected them all now! She finally got her Ebon Frock (It looks so pretty!) and completed Divine Might to get her Suppanomimi!
• Turrek and Kigeca both beat Maat! So a massive congratulations on the both of you!
• Kigeca also hit her first 75 job on Red Mage!! Enjoy your break from the game; you’ve earned it ^^
• Before Kigeca hit 75, Kuniki’s been prancing around on 75 RDM as well, finally!
• Raven’s been on a shopping spree, collecting new gear left and right and hitting 75 on Ranger!
• Arwin’s been doing what we all should’ve been doing; getting her subjobs up to 49: SMN, SCH, SAM, WAR, DNC and NIN. Just watch how we’re all going to struggle after the first level cap! Go go Arwin. She also managed to get her Sha’ir Manteel for BRD, finally!
• Valyria’s been grinding her way towards the Maat’s cap with only two jobs left to go! She beat Maat on Ranger and took Ninja from 37 to 55 after that! Her goal is to do this before the June update; let’s all support her!
• Homayun is steadily working on this Trial of the Magians quest for his Amano-GK, with only an odd 900 vermin left to kill for +5 on his relic. Been jumping around on DRG as well on my Warrior train to get IS, getting it from the odd 60s to 73!
• Did you know Aricka hit MNK 75? Well, she did! So now she’s beating people up, only to heal them with WHM75 afterwards! And as if she wasn’t lady luck already, COR62!
• With Aricka messin around, Garin/Leod can’t stay behind: NIN61, and SAM73!
• Another round goes to Hyozan: Khair shot down Maat on RNG 70, and now he’s hopping back on the Dark Knight train. Maybe? Perhaps more merits on your BLM75? GO GO GO.
• Asmoth has been taking a total 180 turn and levelling SCHOLAR. What? Level 70, people!  Give it up for Asmo
• Viceroy’s been falling in love with finishing up his Samurai, taking it up from the 60s into 73 last night!

I went beyond forums this time and posted what I had memorized had happened as well with others. Be sure to add your accomplishments in this week’s thread here! Congratulations to all of your recent accomplishments ^^ Hyozan is back in business!

So I got my name and that’s all and dandy. Unfortunately, someone jacked both “Hyozan” and “TheHyozanLegacy” before I was able to log in. Fret not, however; we’re now “HyozanLegacy”, which isn’t too different from what it was. And the pearl is still black!

Still. Quite a dickmove of someone to do.

In any case, if you need a pearl, send a tell to Aricka, Sigwald (Poor sigmund), Rashaa*, Vorzheva* and Chiihiro* for linkpearls. Hope to see you back in the shell!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, Square Enix announced a slew of information for Final Fantasy XI for 2010, with the first version update coming up on March 9th.

One of these updates is the server-merge of Hades with Cerberus, removing Hades from existance.

The Server Merge

So with this server-merge, we will all be moved to Cerberus next week, breaking all of the Hyozan linkpearls in our possession. However! I’ll be granted a new unopened linkshell and we’ll be going back to the “Hyozan” name! I’m thinking of hanging out at the Chocobo Circuit for easy access from any major city in the game to distribute new pearls.

With that said, I’m wiping the current member sheet on the website and will be listing current pearls after the merge. So all current sackholders: please contact me after the merger for a new pearl and sack!

MMM hasn’t been going on since Segan retired and returned to the game and hasn’t been picked up by anyone. If anyone does want to do this regularly again, by all means go ahead!

The following changes have been made to Moblin Maze Mongers:
• A new Maze Voucher has been added.?Maze Voucher 8: Overcome your opponent in a test of angling prowess.

Moblin Maze Monday Reloaded:
Yes, I’m raising this event up from the ashes, and we will be flying head-on into the event once again! The restarting date has been decided and new help has been given!

The following Changes have been made to the MMM event:

- High-end Runs: Ravencroft has requested some High-end runs for MMMs. Basically during his runs and others who request the service, can choose a Level-Sync of 50+. This will help decide speed and ease while doing the event. We must take in consideration however, that this system CAN NOT interfere with the ordering. So if there is someone in the event within the Maze Party with his/her highest level less-than 50, then we will have to pass on the High-End Run. A new system will be decided to accommodate this problem which is bound to occur. Details on this system will be developed and posted up on the main site when it is ready.

- Management Placements: After we lost our 2nd MM Manager, I’ve been in dire need of a new one. I am happy to say that we have a volunteer as my Assistant in MMMs. The following people are now MMM Managers and Moderators
1. Segan – MM Manager
2. Cressidia – MM Manager (New)
3. Katama/Katamatoo – MM Moderator
4. Danta – MM Moderator

I will be giving information to Cress, Katama/Katamatoo, and Danta about run info and times. If you have any questions regarding the event these 3 will know most of the info for the event. Tamtu isn’t listed as a Moderator, but he is also notified as often as possible on the event.

- Allowed Maze Runes, Maze Tabula and Maze Vouchers: Maze Voucher #6…IS NEVER TO BE MENTIONED! The mere thought of this voucher will induce great pain and discomfort. On a more serious note, All vouchers are allowed. The most common Maze Vouchers are #1 through #3, and all three Maze Tabula are allowed (including copied ones from other players). Maze Vouchers #4, #5, and #7 are also allowed, but because they are not “normal” mazes, we need a heads-up in advanced to make sure we don’t stumble into one and go, “Oh crap…” The new Maze Voucher #8 is allowed as well. The only one you need permission for is Maze Voucher #6. This is a Level 75 survival voucher. You DO lose EXP during all of the battle-type vouchers, so in the case of Maze Voucher #6, be sure to check and see if everyone has a good enough Buffer so there are no Down-Levels. (Anyone who levels during the event is disqualified for the buffer check because of the recency in level).
In regard of Maze Runes, there are no restrictions. Notification of the chosen Runes you have for your Maze Set-up is allowed and can be helpful. Be warned though, that there is NO penalty for those who decide to be evil and not notify anyone.

- Open admission: Anyone is allowed to enter the Moblin Maze Monger Monday Event! From level 10 to Level 75, any rank, and any Nation. All you need, is the Wings of the Goddess Expansion and a Level 10 to 75 job and you’re in! Any of the 20 available jobs are allowed as well. This invitation is NOT limited to just Hyozan, but is extended to the ChocoboKnights LS as well.

Moblin Maze Reminders:

- Please remember that attendance is no longer an issue. If you don’t show up, no sweat, if you show up late, come on in! I don’t care and they don’t care. I DO care if you have fun and make friends, Get some decent EXP and some MM Marbles because that is one of its purposes/side-effects. To give me an idea of how many people will be there, please post your attendance in the current/given MMM thread, by either going to the following link: Moblin Maze Schedule and Guidelines or by going to the forums yourself and go to {Events > Moblin Maze Mondays} and you should find the most recent post at the top of the forum section, with the next run date.

- We will still meet once a week on Monday around 6:00-7:00PM Easter Standard, and it will last until 12:00AM-1:00AM Easter Standard. You can join in at ANY time within this area. I found that during its first series of runs, some Hyozan members thought that because they weren’t there for the start they’re not welcome and ultimately missed MMMs. This isn’t true. I urge EVERYONE at ANYTIME during the event to hop on in! We do have a limit of people for the Alliance of 18 people, but we never got an issue with having too many people and we never got a full alliance. If we end up getting way too many people, I will make a Linkshell called MoblinMazeMonday and give everyone who wants a pearl, a pearl! But until that times arrives, 18 people is the current “Party” limit. That doesn’t mean you cant hang out and wait for a slot in the Rotation System.

- We are still doing the Rotation System. Information on this system can be found at the following link: Moblin Maze Schedule and Guidelines. We’re also still doing Event Start Rolling, and see who gets to go first. Highest number goes first, unless someone gets either a “1″ or a “2″.

Get there, Have Fun, Level up, get gear, get pumped, and above all, WIN SOME MARBLES!

Because I don’t remember 90% of what happened that evening, allow me to just give credit and the runes numbers to those who participated.

There are no runes recorded from Luca down to Bella. However Sigmund obtained Maze Rune #017 and Ravencroft obtained Maze Rune #040. Other than those two, we left empty handed.

Danta was the only one recorded as a drop. He never did his run, but did a lot before he left.

No runes dropped really. My run dropped 3 runes. Maze Rune 052, Maze Rune 087 and Maze Rune 053. That last rune was in my Special Coffer, but due to my inventory being filled to burst, I was unable to get it and seeing as I already had Monk, I was unable to stow it away.

As for problems during the event, only one can be noted. Eru’s run ended with a wipe. Nothing else really went wrong. Don’t worry Eru, next time will be better!

Continuing on to Drop outs, we move over to Granas. After a mysterious disappearance after Bella’s run, we didn’t hear a word from him from the rest of the night. As for Add-ins, after Bella joined up at the Lower Jeuno Chocobo Stables during Katama’s run, Sigmund and Granas showed up to join us. A little while after 8:00PM EST, Cressidia logged on and joined us followed by Ravencroft and Danta soon after.

The Order of the runs went like this:

6. Cressidia (who had to leave after the second? run)

All of the runs went smoothly with 2 exceptions. Raven’s which was Maze Voucher 06. This run didn’t end so well, due to the fact that this particular maze is fairly difficult to even collect some of the required items. It was entertaining to say the least, but way to difficult. Segan’s run with was Maze Voucher 03. This one was very fun, but due to segan adding Rune 101, it created a situation where it seemed that there was no end the monsters, and it came to the point where we would have lost if we stayed in the maze any longer. Though lucky this mazy is uniqe in the way it lets you leave the maze. It allows you to exit any time after you defeat a floor. So with roughly 1 min. left we exited the maze, opened the chests, got the runes, and left.  To some surprise though, even with not finishing the maze completely, we sill got 1202 exp.

Now on to the runes we got, which compared to almost ever other MMM was a lot. On Segan’s run we got Rune 054 which went to Bella due to Segan taking hers awhile back. On my run we got Rune 053 which went to Hyrist due to the fact that i have to many job runes as is. On Bella run we got Rune 093. Katsu got Rune 087 on his run. Sigmund got both Rune 081 and Rune 010 on his, and finnaly Hyrist got Rune 012, which is never to be used…..ever.
