Unless you’ve been living under a rock, Square Enix announced a slew of information for Final Fantasy XI for 2010, with the first version update coming up on March 9th.

One of these updates is the server-merge of Hades with Cerberus, removing Hades from existance.

The Server Merge

So with this server-merge, we will all be moved to Cerberus next week, breaking all of the Hyozan linkpearls in our possession. However! I’ll be granted a new unopened linkshell and we’ll be going back to the “Hyozan” name! I’m thinking of hanging out at the Chocobo Circuit for easy access from any major city in the game to distribute new pearls.

With that said, I’m wiping the current member sheet on the website and will be listing current pearls after the merge. So all current sackholders: please contact me after the merger for a new pearl and sack!

MMM hasn’t been going on since Segan retired and returned to the game and hasn’t been picked up by anyone. If anyone does want to do this regularly again, by all means go ahead!

Moblin Maze Monday Reloaded:
Yes, I’m raising this event up from the ashes, and we will be flying head-on into the event once again! The restarting date has been decided and new help has been given!

The following Changes have been made to the MMM event:

- High-end Runs: Ravencroft has requested some High-end runs for MMMs. Basically during his runs and others who request the service, can choose a Level-Sync of 50+. This will help decide speed and ease while doing the event. We must take in consideration however, that this system CAN NOT interfere with the ordering. So if there is someone in the event within the Maze Party with his/her highest level less-than 50, then we will have to pass on the High-End Run. A new system will be decided to accommodate this problem which is bound to occur. Details on this system will be developed and posted up on the main site when it is ready.

- Management Placements: After we lost our 2nd MM Manager, I’ve been in dire need of a new one. I am happy to say that we have a volunteer as my Assistant in MMMs. The following people are now MMM Managers and Moderators
1. Segan – MM Manager
2. Cressidia – MM Manager (New)
3. Katama/Katamatoo – MM Moderator
4. Danta – MM Moderator

I will be giving information to Cress, Katama/Katamatoo, and Danta about run info and times. If you have any questions regarding the event these 3 will know most of the info for the event. Tamtu isn’t listed as a Moderator, but he is also notified as often as possible on the event.

- Allowed Maze Runes, Maze Tabula and Maze Vouchers: Maze Voucher #6…IS NEVER TO BE MENTIONED! The mere thought of this voucher will induce great pain and discomfort. On a more serious note, All vouchers are allowed. The most common Maze Vouchers are #1 through #3, and all three Maze Tabula are allowed (including copied ones from other players). Maze Vouchers #4, #5, and #7 are also allowed, but because they are not “normal” mazes, we need a heads-up in advanced to make sure we don’t stumble into one and go, “Oh crap…” The new Maze Voucher #8 is allowed as well. The only one you need permission for is Maze Voucher #6. This is a Level 75 survival voucher. You DO lose EXP during all of the battle-type vouchers, so in the case of Maze Voucher #6, be sure to check and see if everyone has a good enough Buffer so there are no Down-Levels. (Anyone who levels during the event is disqualified for the buffer check because of the recency in level).
In regard of Maze Runes, there are no restrictions. Notification of the chosen Runes you have for your Maze Set-up is allowed and can be helpful. Be warned though, that there is NO penalty for those who decide to be evil and not notify anyone.

- Open admission: Anyone is allowed to enter the Moblin Maze Monger Monday Event! From level 10 to Level 75, any rank, and any Nation. All you need, is the Wings of the Goddess Expansion and a Level 10 to 75 job and you’re in! Any of the 20 available jobs are allowed as well. This invitation is NOT limited to just Hyozan, but is extended to the ChocoboKnights LS as well.

Moblin Maze Reminders:

- Please remember that attendance is no longer an issue. If you don’t show up, no sweat, if you show up late, come on in! I don’t care and they don’t care. I DO care if you have fun and make friends, Get some decent EXP and some MM Marbles because that is one of its purposes/side-effects. To give me an idea of how many people will be there, please post your attendance in the current/given MMM thread, by either going to the following link: Moblin Maze Schedule and Guidelines or by going to the forums yourself and go to {Events > Moblin Maze Mondays} and you should find the most recent post at the top of the forum section, with the next run date.

- We will still meet once a week on Monday around 6:00-7:00PM Easter Standard, and it will last until 12:00AM-1:00AM Easter Standard. You can join in at ANY time within this area. I found that during its first series of runs, some Hyozan members thought that because they weren’t there for the start they’re not welcome and ultimately missed MMMs. This isn’t true. I urge EVERYONE at ANYTIME during the event to hop on in! We do have a limit of people for the Alliance of 18 people, but we never got an issue with having too many people and we never got a full alliance. If we end up getting way too many people, I will make a Linkshell called MoblinMazeMonday and give everyone who wants a pearl, a pearl! But until that times arrives, 18 people is the current “Party” limit. That doesn’t mean you cant hang out and wait for a slot in the Rotation System.

- We are still doing the Rotation System. Information on this system can be found at the following link: Moblin Maze Schedule and Guidelines. We’re also still doing Event Start Rolling, and see who gets to go first. Highest number goes first, unless someone gets either a “1″ or a “2″.

Ladies and Gentlemen of The Hyozan Legacy. As you know I have taken my leave of Final Fantasy XI for a short-time period so I can get through my classes, and financial issues with the game’s funds. Due to my absence, I shall appoint Katamatoo and Danta as the leaders of the event for the time being.
I also apologize for the extreme lateness of this post. I’ve been running around and stuff what with the Nacho Roast and the event this past 4th of July and I just found the time to do this.

Because I don’t remember 90% of what happened that evening, allow me to just give credit and the runes numbers to those who participated.

Well we had a good 12 people for our 15th MMM event. Without further ado, here is the roster from Monday evening!

No runes dropped really. My run dropped 3 runes. Maze Rune 052, Maze Rune 087 and Maze Rune 053. That last rune was in my Special Coffer, but due to my inventory being filled to burst, I was unable to get it and seeing as I already had Monk, I was unable to stow it away.

As for problems during the event, only one can be noted. Eru’s run ended with a wipe. Nothing else really went wrong. Don’t worry Eru, next time will be better!

Continuing on to Drop outs, we move over to Granas. After a mysterious disappearance after Bella’s run, we didn’t hear a word from him from the rest of the night. As for Add-ins, after Bella joined up at the Lower Jeuno Chocobo Stables during Katama’s run, Sigmund and Granas showed up to join us. A little while after 8:00PM EST, Cressidia logged on and joined us followed by Ravencroft and Danta soon after.

Hey everyone, lets get right into this update.

The Order of the runs went like this:

1. Ravencroft
2. Lucavi
3. Segan
4. Danta
5. Belladiel
6. Cressidia (who had to leave after the second? run)
7. Katsukora
8. Sigmund
9. Hyrist

All of the runs went smoothly with 2 exceptions. Raven’s which was Maze Voucher 06. This run didn’t end so well, due to the fact that this particular maze is fairly difficult to even collect some of the required items. It was entertaining to say the least, but way to difficult. Segan’s run with was Maze Voucher 03. This one was very fun, but due to segan adding Rune 101, it created a situation where it seemed that there was no end the monsters, and it came to the point where we would have lost if we stayed in the maze any longer. Though lucky this mazy is uniqe in the way it lets you leave the maze. It allows you to exit any time after you defeat a floor. So with roughly 1 min. left we exited the maze, opened the chests, got the runes, and left.  To some surprise though, even with not finishing the maze completely, we sill got 1202 exp.

Now on to the runes we got, which compared to almost ever other MMM was a lot. On Segan’s run we got Rune 054 which went to Bella due to Segan taking hers awhile back. On my run we got Rune 053 which went to Hyrist due to the fact that i have to many job runes as is. On Bella run we got Rune 093. Katsu got Rune 087 on his run. Sigmund got both Rune 081 and Rune 010 on his, and finnaly Hyrist got Rune 012, which is never to be used…..ever.

Well, that all that happened this week. If there is anything i left out send me a pm or /tell.

Before I go into yet another late update, please bare with me for a very important notice.

Starting June 29, 2009 through August 8, 2009 I will be unable to make it in time for the Moblin Maze Mondays Event. My reason is because I have an English class from 6:15PM to 9:30PM EST. Because Katamatoo has Dynamis with is other LS on Odin, I ask that Katamatoo setup and prepare the night before my arrival. This new system will continue until December 21, 2009 when Fall Semester ends for the rest of 2009. 2010’s schedule is unknown to me at this time, and another notice will be announced when I get more information.

And now for the update!

Due to a previously planned engagement, Raige was unable to do his run, but was able to get a taste of Moblin Maze Mondays. Another member, Leylia, didn’t do his run but tried it out and enjoyed it very much! Hope to see you in the mix next time~! Some late arrivals include Cressidia and Belladiel. Damn you work and driving school~!

Going into the Runes we received, Danta got Maze Rune 052, and Cressidia got the Maze Rune 096! Unfortunately no other drops were had, but hey! Next time guys!

The only thing I can say that hindered our success last monday was Tamtu’s double elemental run. Ice Elementals right before Light Elementals…not good. This run ended in failure, but did that discourage Tamtu? Nope! He participated in yet another, right after!

Speaking of which, for those who haven’t yet, and have the Marbles to spend, you should look into buying Mob-Control Runes. I call them this because they make sure Elementals don’t show up. Having multiple of them in one Tabula can ensure a variety of mobs, but remember not to put to many. This doesn’t apply for the Maze Voucher #03. This Voucher will get messed up and do random mobs if two or more Mob Control Runes are chosen. For 100 Marbles you can buy Maze Rune 001, Maze Rune 002, and Maze Rune 003. For 200 Marbles you can get Maze Rune 004, Maze Rune 005, Maze Rune 006, and Maze Rune 007, and for 300 Marbles you can get Maze Rune 008 and Maze Rune 009.

One more note for you all. I have some help now with the updates. Danta will be making sure that these updates get done on time. So he’ll be helping out when he can. Thanks Danta~!

This week is going to be an exciting week for myself! Sooraya and her family will be visiting next week so I need to get things spotless and clean! Doesn’t mean I won’t be busy myself, though. I’ll be going on a hiatus next week, just so you know.

For now, I’ve been thieving it up in Vana’diel and got THF from 26 to 32! 27-31 in something that was pretty much an all-day XP event with Arwin. Fun was to be had as we swapped in LS members throughout the day in the Jungles. I gotta say, Trick Attack is a lovely, lovely thing. Now to find some innocent White Mages to SATA.

Besides that, I got the AF weapons for Black Mage and Warrior with the help of Arwin and Ravencroft for completionists purposes. Still need Warp II, though.

• Raige is slowly climbing up on Dancer at 17!
• Katamatoo’s worked his Thief to 21 and Samurai to 34!
• Level 25 White Mage Sooraya at your service! We have an additional Raiser in the LS, people
• Ghostofonyx is now finally enjoying the wonders of Warp with his Black Mage levelled to 17! His Monk is sitting nicely at 31 as well.
• Cressidia is steadily working on Dancer, sitting at 43 and hitting Rank 5! Now she too can rap along to my parody! Samurai to 30 as well.
• Segan got his Black Mage to 40! (Hey buddy. Under Observation, {Can I have it?}, {Please}? Pretty pleaaaase?)
• Kigeca unlocked Summoner and Samurai, got her Red Mage to 36 with BLM and WHM both nearing 20.
• Danta got his Warrior up to 27, Puppetmaster to 48 and Rank 5 in Bastok! (Airship Rap, {You can have this}).
• Garin finished Dragoon to sub-level and got his last Mog Safe expansion done.
• Eruainur is still goin through Ninja. 29 levels done, 8 more to go! You can do it

It’s been a little while, but Raige’s done it! He gloriously beat Maat’s scrawny ass! Click on to read his story!

“For a week straight I have been Skilling up my skills to prepare for Maat. Everyone was so supportive of this, whether they knew it or not, because every day there was someone there with me aiding me to raise my parameters. Until monday 5/18/09, out of no where, I decided that I wanted to face that challenge. Mentally I was not prepared, my skills were not capped, nor did I have the equipment I felt that would increase my chances. All I had was a spur of the moment decision, and enough doubt to break a Mule’s back.

I really don’t know how this all came to be, but I ended up meeting TamTu and Sooraya in Upper Jeuno and we were getting ready to enter Brenner. Apparently, TamTu sensed my uncertainty, and explained that I will now be going through some training to get my mind in the right place. One Round Offensive, Second Round, Deffensive, Third Round Both. After a few good fights, and an Axe to the Face!!!!… I was treated to a drink that TamTu had bought for me. So for a bit, the three of us took time to relax in the Marble Bridge (San d’Orian’s Day!!!) I felt like I was going off to die and that I should have said some Good-bye’s or something.

Then it was time to Prepare. The LS was real supportive when it came down to this. We shopped looked for bargains, discussed equipment set up’s and the whole nine yards. But in the end, after the whole equipment discussion, I was given a Blink head band, 12 sleeping potions, and an Opo-opo’s Necklace. A generous expression of TamTu’s and Sooraya’s support once again. Then I bought 3 Hi-potions+3, 3 High Ether’s, 1 Vile Elixer, 1 Icarus Wing, 2 Yagudo drinks, and 1 bowl of Spagetti .(forget what it is called.)

As I made my way to Maat, the nervousness really struck me. I was having a tough time concentrating. For years I’ve heard horror stories and nothing more. I didn’t expect to win, but I was determined to give it my best. Before I traded my Testimony to the BC I announced that I was going in. “Be back in 10 minutes guys…”. “It had better be 10 minutes!” “GL!!” “Fight well!!” “Beat that Old Geezer up!!” “Go Raige!” “Go get him Raaaaiiige!” reply’s Hyozan. I turned everything off. It was now just me, and Maat awaiting my appearance on the other side.

I was so nervous at this point, I had to walk away for a bit, do some push ups, take a drink of water, and do what ever I could do to use up all this nervous energy. After all of that, I set my eyes on the BC…. No turning back now.

I’m in the BC now. I start Buffing. Now this is where everything went wrong! LOL I had gotten my 100% tp, but I forgot to unequip my Dark Staff. DOH! So I had to redo the entire Process of building that TP. Needless to say, that didn’t help my time or my nerves.

I take a wack at Maat, and he casts Banish II! HA! Try harder maat. I cast flash, followed by a Vorpal Blade. He took a hit on that one. I took my time with my decisions. I didn’t let myself become overwhelmed with the moment. Every move I made counted. I had about 75% mp from minor cure’s. I didn’t need any room for error due to being over confident. So, to save on mp. I used 1 Hi potion when it was needed. Then later I used an Ether.

Maat uses Invincible. WHAT?! Ok so he used it. I Shield Bash’ed him and ran away. That kept him stunned for an amazingly amount of time. By the time he got to me, it had worn off, and the battle began again. I used Vorpal Blade for the 3rd time and then heck with it, I will use Invincible… why not right? Just so happens, 2 hits later, he threw in the towel.

I’m escorted out of the BC, I turn my LS back on, and proudly announce, “Raige: 1 Maat: 0″

I really need to stop doing this with my updates. Could get Tamtu upset! At anyrate, hey everyone, I apologize for being a week late, I had a lot on my plate what with school, pool cleaning, yard work, and getting BLM to a nice comfortable AF weapon level getting level. Without further ado, here we go!

The roster for last monday was as follows:

We had some pretty successful runs that night with some Rune drops. Tamtu got a Maze Rune 042 to drop on his run, Segan got a Maze Rune 052, Danta got a Maze Rune 056, and Zegg got a Maze Rune 039! For those who didn’t get any drops, we can try on June 1, 2009~!

Using a few of the same Vouchers as usual, we had Maze Vouchers 01, 02, and 03 used. On of these days I think I’ll get the Synthesis Voucher, Maze Voucher 04. Give it a whirl~! Anyone want to test it with me when I get the Voucher just give me a /tell or shout out to me on Ventrillo~!

Well this update sure was short. Katama did most of the data work because my Database was acting up. Oh well Microsoft…oh well…

Woo! We’re at #15 already! New people, new achievements, new, new, new!

I haven’t done too much myself, this week except focus on Warrior a little bit. There was a bit of EXPing on White Mage, but that didn’t compare to the levels I got with the versatile fighter class! Initially, I just wanted to get it to level 37 for sub-job purposes and duoing two FoV runs with Garin got me halfway through 36. But two monsters shy of level 37, an East Ronfaure [S] party invite seemed too good to pass up. And EXP buffers are always nice.

Especially 3 level-buffers! So that’s really my most notable achievement; Warrior 40. The Royal Squire’s Chainmail looks good on me I also got Scholar out of the dunes at level 20. 17 more levels! Let’s check up on the others.

• Raige beat Maat! After some personal training by Sooraya and myself, he went in and came out victorious. A recap on his fight to follow soon! Dancer 1-16, as well!
• Talym broke G3! Which is the most horrible limit break quest, in my opinion. Good job, Talym~
• Sooraya got level 62 shortly after hitting Rank 10 with me last week!
• Segan started meriting! One merit into Devotion, so far. Club skill at 183 and Black Mage to 38! (Psst. Two more and I can drag you to some BCNMs.)
• Cressidia’s hit level 40 on her Dancer and unlocked Summoner!
• Garin finished G4, hit level 61 on his Samurai and capped his Great Katana skill. Always a good thing!
• Ghostofonyx has new pants~! Byakko’s Haidate is looking good on you, bro~
• Arwin reached Adept level in Cooking! Party at her mog house!
• Ravencroft’s been showing off as usual and beat Maat in 2:28 minutes on his NIN75. Pimped out Desperate Blows some more for his DRK.
• Sigmund’s THF is gaining levels nicely from 61 to 64!

And that’s it in the forum updates! Remember that unless I’ve been there and I remember the achievement happening, it’s not going to be listed unless you give me something to update about in the forums!

Speaking of which, I’ve restricted the forum viewing access to registered members only, for privacy reasons. All you have to do is register and log in at http://hyozan.org/forum/! Come on!!!

Some of the new members should definitely do that! Just like Lucavi, Poet and Lovyoomore (Who’s been around, but I never mentioned her. Sorry!)
