Big update this week, mostly because I wasn’t around last week to do this! The slopes of Austria treated my fresh new Skiing skills well and I can say that I picked it up pretty well! I just wished I could’ve done it longer, I really wanted to grow accustomed to those shoes Anyway! I spent most of the week beating Resident Evil 5 (Getting that out of the way, you know!) and working on a long overdue episode of He Says, She Says. Episode 10 has been released yesterday, so you can expect me back in game again this week

We also take a sad salute to Biri, who decided to leave the game indefinitely for real life priorities (aka, he met a sweeeeeeeeeeeetheart ^_~). All the best in your real life endeavors, Biri! We’ll miss ya

So other than that, no updates on my or Sooraya’s end, but I see that everyone else has been keeping busy!

• Hileict got his Samurai from level 61 to 65, unlocked every job class (woo, welcome to the club!), learned Tachi: Yukikaze and Penta Thrust, Sterling Star §§ medal in Campaign.
• Eruainur’s been busy as well: Brown Belt was obtained with ups and downs. Nue was a horrible camp, but Morbolger was done while he was asleep! Go go Carbuncle! The Wings of Honor §§§§ is in his posession and started woodworking as well, which is at 13 so far.
• Sigmund’s moved RDM and SCH up to 40. Help him figure out whether to take WHM to 60 or SAM to 40 next!
• Segan got all his Recall spells, got the Bronze Star, his Dragoon to 32 and….beat Maat! WHM’s at 71 for him. My little WHM pal is growing up ;.; Seperate post with screenshots to follow~
• Our prize baby Ghost’s been busy too: MNK to level 23, as well as the MNK Relic legs..! Completed the ToAU missions and is now the proud owner of the Ulthalam’s Ring and his Glory Crown.
• Myri pushed NIN from 12 to 20 on Nelani and DNC to 12. Ashlee’s got enough Norg Fame to finally take on the mini-Avatar battle against Leviathan! She’s also ready to go for the 2-3 dragon fight. I’ll be more than happy to help out with that one
• Katama got Samurai from 30 to 32, access to Besieged after obtaining the Halvung Staging Point, resulting in his first Mercenary Rank: Private Second Class! He also got a veeery cute adventuring fellow. Shoutout to Serennie for the help with this.
• Seker finished ToAU with Ghost and hit his first 75 job with Red Mage!! I’m waiting for the screenshot, buddy.
• Danta’s got PUP to 30, his Stormwaker frame, unlocked DNC and earned his Signal Pearl. Rank 4 and Fishing Skill to 9.
• Kaixy’s been lucky with the treasure caskets in Xarcabard and got the Gothic Gauntlets. Nice DD/Tanking piece, I’d imagine!
• Cressida started the CoP missions and got access to the past, as well as Aht Urhgan. Monk’s gone from 23 to 25!

New members in Hyozan in the past two weeks: Ravencroft, Arewin, Rashaa, Tekamachi and Cressida makes her triomphant return! ( I know there’s been more new recruits this week, lemme know who they are! tamtu @ hyozan.org!)

It’s been quite a week! The korean BBQ was fantastic, btw. I’m now looking forward to a company skiing trip this friday until monday so next week’s update will come a bit late. There IS wireless internet at the hotel, but don’t expect me on laptop too often

This week, I got True Strike and Sharlene’s up to 47! The dry run I did with her for the Blessed Radiance quest didn’t go too well. I don’t think I’m going to let her tank and have her just focus on attacks and weaponskills since she’s really really close to Penta Thrust That should get enough hate on her for me to just focus on healing. Trixxi is also back! She was welcomed back with open arms after she was discharged from the hospital, so take good care of her, everyone! Oh. My Black Mage is at 34 now, too! 3 more until sub-level, and 6 until the money making BCNMs! I still want to try out the SMN Astral Flow trick. Sigmund’s got me all curious about it, and Eru’s confirmed that it’s possible XD

• Katama got his Teleport-Altep crystal and Dark Knight to 36!
• Eruainur was finally able to equip his Ochimusha Kote and rolled onto level 36 on his Monk. He’s got his purple belt, and working on his Brown Belt as well. The Mythril Wings of Service is also shining Bastokanly on his chest. Good job!
• Ghostofonyx did the same and got himself a Purple Belt as well!
• Kigeca finished Windurst Missions 2-1 (I forsee a Dragon fight in the very near future!), and 29 on Monk.
• Zaryph’s been rolling along in Hyozan and got his White Mage to 25!
• Retsujo gave Moblin Maze Mongers a shot and had a good time! His NPC Armittie hit 61 and he’s also working hard on unlocking King’s Justice from his Nyzul Great Axe.
• Segan obtained the Allied Ribbon of Bravery for San d’Oria, and hit 68 on White Mage!
• Kaixy got Samurai to 60 and is now sporting his full AF, which was already posted last week!
• Sigmund also got his AF armor completed and apart from Sleepga II, he’s very very happy with the job now!
• Myri’s been busy with her summoner Ashlee, hitting level 25 (Auto-Refresh, I envy!!)
• Biri finished the 6th and 7th gobbiebag quests and a full set of Dancer AF! Screenshot, man! Screenshot!

What a week! A few of our members started up a weekly event called…(here we go…) Monday’s Massively Multimedia Multiplayer Multilayered Majorly Magestic Malignantly Magical Mystic Miraculously Mysterious Moblin Maze Mongers Mania Madness…… Maybe?!

Quite a mouthful, indeed. If you’re interested, join up with the crew to try out new combinations of runes gathered during the week!

Before I get to the updates, I have to mentioned that one of our members got into an unfortunate car-accident and is still recovering from her injuries. So from all of your friends at Hyozan, we wish you a speedy recovery and hope you’ll join us soon, Trixxi! We all miss you.

I didn’t get to do much, mostly because of real life obligations (work sucks !), Street Fighter 4 and keeping my social life alive here (something I recommend you guys prioritize over the game ^^). I also blame my crazy schedule, being in Holland and having a fulltime job and all, but here’s what I got done: Retsujo set up parties on tuesday and thursday for me and Sooraya to advance. She couldn’t make it on tuesday, unfortunately, but I did catch up to her in the Colibri party (my preferred choice of birds!) and hit 61. Cure V is pretty, though some may disagree. On thursday, I joined Laluzia in a little NM fight to get the Caedarva Mire map, which we succesfully completed. Upon her request, Retsujo took us to a Conquest area camp in Bibiki Bay so she could get her Patriarch Protector’s Arrow again. I looked up what made this particular arrow so special.

I crapped my pants when I saw the Ranged Accuracy +40. My inner Ranger was tugging at my Briault to exchange it for the good old Longbow.

Anyways: The adventure in Bibiki Bay was shortlived, unfortunately. I got a nice buffer though, something I proved to need later during the week! Campaigns (which I survived!) and Sigmund’s coffer key hunting (Which I did NOT survive!). I’m halfway through 61, though. Good game.

To recap: Broke G4, WHM61, Club Skill 165 (I want True Strike and Judgement already ;.; ), and my lovely NPC Sharlene hit 45! Five more levels!

• Naturally, Sooraya was with me for most of these events and she too got her G4 done as well! Her NPC Massimo finally gained a level and she finished the Blighted Gloom quest!
• Retsujo’s still working on his Bard at 70 now! Three levels from Chocobo Mazurka…and 5 levels from hardcore meriting, baby.
• Biri got Dancer up to 57, got his AF feet and finished his final AF quest! And got a Dragoon Testimony…? Awesome!
• Segan’s been marvelling over the moblin mazes and did 14 runs this week. White Mage to 67 and Dragoon to 31! (Bring Cressida back in the game already!!!) Brass Ribbon of Service, too.
• Eruainur got Scholar to 66! He’s well on his way to equipping that awesome, awesome Relic Body piece. Brass Wings of Service.
• Myri pushed Ashlee from 16 to 20 on her Summoner and is now working hard to get fame all over the world to do the Mini-Avatar battles. Good luck!
• Sigmund hit 60 on his Black Mage and is aiming to get the rest of his AF and complete his spell list before he considers it done! Good job
• I saw Katsukora on THF75. When did that happen, man? D: Congratulations!
• GhostofOnyx completed his Paladin Relic set with the Valor Coronet! Congratulations!
• Katamatoo was joined by Hileict, Sooraya and myself for San d’Oria Mission 3-3 and we ran up Delkfutt’s tower and gave Poryphion hell.

New members this week: Sampsonfury, Kelmore and Alemoir! (let me know if I missed anyone!) Keep up the good work, everybody! You make me proud

Woohoo! We ended the week with a very good Promyvion-Dem run! Seker, Merlina, Katamatoo, Segan and Biri all needed this one done and I joined them as Warrior/Ninja (stop looking at me like that, Sooraya ). It went surprisingly well; I didn’t use Mighty Strikes (although I did end up eating the Moogle Pie that Ryoku gave me not too long ago) and the boss was cleared. Unfortunately, we lost Hileict and Eruainur along the way, but it all worked out: The people who needed it done got it done!

I got Summoner up to level 21 myself. 4 more levels for Auto-Refresh! I’ll be working on this one for a while so if you happen to have room for a SMN21, please invite me to your parties On to the others’ updates!

• Trixxi got her Rabbit Charm! 1/3 tries!
• Segan got his Summoner to 21 as well, and Ninja up to level 30! He also started hanging out in the past doing Campaign and WotG missions. Keep it up! Promy-Holla and Dem = done.
• Biri got level 55 on Dancer, finished Genkai 2 as well as the second DNC AF quest!
• Danta’s gotten settled quite well on Hades and Hyozan; Chocobo Quest done, Kazham keys (with help from Eru and Kaixy), Monk to 30, Rank 3 Bastok and a personal favorite accomplishment for me: He unlocked Puppetmaster! Good times, Danta! Good times.
• Sigmund successfully camped Centurio X-I for the Shaman’s Cloak with help from Belladiel and Katsukora!
  Eruainur is now my Super Ochimusha Brother! Let’sa-go~! I’ll work on my NIN or SAM or whatever so we can both kick some ass, Ochimusha-style!
• Sooraya got Samurai to 32, Thief to 16, and Monk to 22, as well as Cooking to level 9 and access to Sky! (And of course, so did I )
• Katama’s Dark Knight is at 33, and he completed Promyvion Holla and Dem! And Aht Urghan opened its gates for this stunning Elvaan as well!
• Retsujo is 6 levels away from lots and lots and lots of insane meriting on his Bard! Ding 69 for the man!

Congratulations with your accomplishments this week guys!

New members in Hyozan the past weeks: Misaa~! Varnum was unable to access his trial character and is now known as the hume Relziem! And Hileict successfully transferred to Hades and joined The Hyozan Legacy to help out not only himself, but everyone else too! Drag him around to do stuff!

Well, well, well. This week flew by rather fast for me. It’s been very sleep-depriving for me, but at least Sooraya, Sigmund and I got some good old Sky access! I have to thank Ghostofonyx for my bit, since I went straight to bed after finishing up the boss fight and finished up the next day. Other than that, I put together a level 31-32 LS party in Altepa for Misaa, where I ended up BLM-pulling (because of my /NIN. Pfft ;p). Club skill is slowly going up to level 161, and I got my WHM Testimony thanks to Eruainur, Ryokun, Segan and of course, Sooraya~ Floor 4 of Castle Oztroja does not scare me anymore. I also got a NIN testimony. But that’s not interesting! Because the following is:

Now before I go onto everyone else’s updates, I’m going to post up Hyozan rules this week. Some unfortunate in-linkshell incidents happened, where the sackholders’ authority was challenged. I love Hyozan because it’s always a wonderful place for our members to hang out in, and not having to worry about real life crap and drama. But it makes me sad when we have to get rough on people because they can’t be assed to be polite enough towards the others. Keep an eye out on the rules soon.

• Lucky Kaixy got Utsusemi:Ni from the Royal Jelly BCNM!
• Sooraya learned {Raging Rush} and hit 61 on WAR after getting Sky access!
• Segan’s finally catching up on his club skills and learned {Brainshaker} and {Starlight}. WHM at 65!
• Eruainur joined us in that same skill-up party and learned {Viper Bite}! Stabs are cool.
• Trixxi unlocked Paladin with Cyndrig’s help and is sitting at 18!
• Myri got her little Nelani to Ninja level 12 and needs to do some major farming now because Shihei Toolbags are really expensive

All I did was work on PLD and THF some more. PLD’s at 27 and THF at 26. And I got Skullbreaker. I reaaaaally need to get the club skills up

• Segan’s been busy: WHM from 63 to 65, BRD to 14 and COR to 9.
• Silent Lucidity’s been ding-dong-ding-donging back and forth on 74 and 75, but it seems he’s got a grip on 75 now! And BRD to 30 as well. Good job.
• Meanwhile, Biri is still waiting for transfer. He got his DNC up to 54, really close to 55 too. He just needs to re-transfer already. Sheesh.
• Sigmund is poor in the most literal sense of the word. BLM gear + spells hurts the wallet, but it’s so worth the Ancient Magic. BLM52, RDM 40 AND a Moldavite Earring!
• Kaixy, from the shadows, is sneaking up to 27 on NIN!
• Ghost finished off Ifrit and Leviathan. Good job, man.
• Holy Knight Emblem and the SCH Relic Body piece for Eruainur!
• Nelani unlocked Ninja with the help from Sigmund and Tamtu.
• Sitana’s been a Refresh Monkey until 42 with Red Mage.
• Ytisac has her Kazham airship pass!
• THF70 for Katsukora!
• Trixxi’s been on an insane level-binge: MNK 1-18, subjobs, then WAR 1-26. Insaaaaaaaaaaaane, I say!

A lot has happened this week, I think? Let’s find out! I know I got my THF up to 25 (Flee is so much fun.), my Paladin to 25, Scholar to 15 and my Summoner to 17. Summoning Skill was gimped like crazy when I was in the dunes with the LS, so I took it from 22 to 41. So mindnumbing x_x Aside from that, Limit Break 4 (see Sooraya’s update) and getting Rank 8 thanks to non-LS friend Zaaku and pickup Stonedaru. Thanks guys!

Anyway. Onto the rest of Hyozan!

• Eruainur got 34 on RDM through lots of Fields of Valor
• Myri got Nelani’s THF up to 28 and Ashlee’s SMN to 14. Keep that summoning skill capped, girl. I regret having to mindnumbingly catch up with that myself x_o
• Kaixy’s moonwalked his DNC all the way to 40!Retsujo’s back and singing songs to level 66 on his BRD. He likes his Opo-Opo Crown.
• Sooraya hit Rank 8 in San d’Oria and got her DNC to 26! And with the help of Kadia and Mounja (and accompanied by Tamtu, as always), Limit Break 4 done!
• Sigmund’s been working on his mage jobs: It was his Black Mage’s turn and hit 41, nuking mobs one at a time.
• Segan’s enjoying his stay at Hyozan and working his way through the early levels! Not sure what the totals were for the week, but he’s working on WHM and BLM!

And the big one: Kuniii hit 75 on Summoner! Congratulations!!!! I hope the grind was worthwhile for you!

This week was a slow week, but that could also be because I was barely in-game Sooraya spent most of the time getting her new computer to work and running with FFXI, while I was catching up on movies. But! We got something done, still. Here’s this week’s overview! Be sure to keep posting your achievements at the forums!

• GhostofOnyx got his PLD Relic Body piece! Congratulations!! We know you’ve been wanting this piece for a while.
• Silent Lucidity got “Purple, The New Black” done with the help of Katsukora, Tamtu, Sooraya, Eruainur and Kaixy! Onto the next Bastok quests, buddy!
• Kaixy unlocked Dancer, while Biri got his own Dancer up to 48!
• Gixander’s been breezing through the starter levels with his Black Mage now at level 10!
• Katama worked up Samurai to level 25 in a series of FoV’s with Tamtu, who got Paladin to 24 there.
• TamTu and Sooraya actually got some work on their subjobs and got Black Mage and Samurai to 31. 6 more!
• Sigmund was working on his Red Mage this week and is now at 38!

New member this week: Varnum, Galka Monk from San d’Oria! (Yesssssssssssss!)

• Sigmund completed “An Explorer’s Footsteps”, which is the huge, elaborate quest for the Crawler’s Nest map! He also got Red Mage to 28!
• TamTu obtained Leviathan and Ramuh, with help from Kaixy, Katsukora, Retsujo, Eruainur and Histeria! Also. *WHM60*
• Together with Tamtu, Sooraya hit WAR60 and completed San d’Oria mission 7-1!
• With that, Kaixy obtained all of his whispers so he can take the battle to Fenrir! Oh. Cooking level 8, too.
• GhostofOnyx finished the Chains of Promathia storyline and chose the Sattva ring as his reward!
• We say goodbye to Biri the Tarutaru and now, he is working on hard on his Cait Sith Biri character in preparation for his second move to Hades! DNC to 38, Clothcraft 58-60 and got a nice profit from selling his summoning earring.
• Gixander joined Hyozan and got his White Mage to level 10, doing quests and all kinds of other fun, beginner things!
• Kigeca finally obtained her Kazham keys!
