Hyozan is a Final Fantasy XI linkshell originally founded by Kiken and Piper. In time, leadership has been passed on to Tamtu, who now runs the shell with Retsujo and Sooraya as his main admins under a new name, TheHyozanLegacy.

Hyozan is mainly a social linkshell, with members at different levels of jobs with all kinds of interests. Expect the activities to vary from mega boss fights to small, seasonal events! The linkshell currently resides on Hades, where we strive to help out anyone at any level…and kick ass. LOTS of it!

~*+Rules in the House of Hyozan+*~

These are updated versions of the rules set by old Hyozan staff before we changed to the current shell.

No discussion about politics, religion, race or sexual orientation. – That’s not to say we don’t allow it, or that we’re against a certain stance regarding those topics. Everyone is equal and should be treated as such. One person’s actions does not represent that of the people in the same piece of the ethical pie chart and should not be generalized with your opinion about that group. Please know that we do acknowledge freedom of speech, but we also respect other people’s backgrounds so if you really want to discuss it, take it to /tell. This is all to avoid feelings from getting being hurt and keeping the atmosphere in the LS casual and friendly.

You take when you give. We’re here to help you and will sometimes go out of our way to assist you with anything. But be polite enough to return the favor if the time is there. There shouldn’t be any cliques in the LS, since we usually do end up trying to do as many things together as a LS as possible. You’re obviously not limited to just the LS as there are always friends outside the linkshell, but when do you venture in off-LS events and you’re carrying the black pearl, present yourself well ;)

Be respectful to your fellow LS members
- Try not to say anything offending. If you do, apologize and talk it out with the person you offended. There’s absolutely no need to drag the people present into it. It’s annoying and distracting to the others, and makes you look bad for squabbling over something that we shouldn’t be dealing with in game. Get to know them better instead and do quests or farm together.

No spam. Spam constitutes of flooding the screen with nonsences. Typing the same things over and over again, Or very short sentances (or only letters) one after the other, are considered spam. There’s some leniency with proper spelling and grammar, but if you intentionally go lolspeak or txtspeak to annoy the others, you will get a warning.

No drama. Please, if you are having a problem with another LS member, or the admin, or a decision made by an admin, or an event, or ANYTHING bring it up with the Administration on a 1 on 1 level. Do not over dramatize and bitch and moan about it on the LS. Thats not the way to get your problems solved in the real world or in Hyozan. Take it to /tell.

Don’t threaten to leave the LS to prove a point or get something accomplished – This is utterly pointless. If you don’t agree with someone else and you cannot work things out, even with the help of a senior sackholder or shellholder, you’re free to leave the shell. Personal ties should be not a factor in regards to the linkshell; your friends are your friends whether you’re in the shell or not. This used to be part of the “No drama” rule, but we felt it was important to give it its own spot. Do not threaten to leave the LS publicly to get your way. If there is something you do not like, or disagree with, please talk to the staff in tell, and do not threaten to leave the LS. There will be no negotiations with people who threaten to leave the LS. If a member continuously idly threatens to leave the LS, we will do them the favor of removing the LS for them. Please take leaving the LS seriously. Because we do.
